Welcome to Limina Clothing — a brand born from real life, real loss, and real faith.

I’m Jontay, the CEO and founder of Limina (@1.jontay on socials). I created this brand to shine a light on those powerful moments in life — that exact doorway to success. You know the feeling: you’re standing there, seeing your dreams clearly, knowing what you want to accomplish, but it’s up to you to step through and put it into motion. That’s the essence of Limina.

The name Limina comes from the Latin word limen (plural limina), meaning threshold or doorway. It’s that transitional space — the in-between where everything can change. We’re here to remind you that you’re at the edge of something big, and it’s time to cross over.

At Limina, we believe when you have those big dreams of success, you gotta go all in. No half-steps. Live off your faith, because God got us. Trust the path, lean on your higher power, and keep pushing forward. Success isn’t just about talent — it’s about faith-fueled action.

This brand is deeply personal. I lost my dad, Rahieem General (also known in some circles as General P), to violence in New London, CT. That tragedy shook me to my core, but it also lit a fire. I knew I had to create a pathway for myself — something meaningful to honor him and build a future. After his passing, my social media presence exploded, especially around my drumming. That’s what he loved seeing me do most — and it’s become the foundation of my career today.

None of this would be possible without the people who poured into me early on. If it wasn’t for my Nana Rachel Hill and Papa Clarence Hill putting me on the drums as a kid, I wouldn’t be where I am. Huge thanks to my family — Chas, Cierra, Shaq, Liz, Trey, Ty, Mayno, Shianna, Clarence Jr, Essence, Talia, Dion. sr/jr, Uncles James, Aunt Barbera, Cania, Smurf, Leon, Lashya, and my Mother Rose — for always having my back.

A special shoutout to my girlfriend Domenique — your constant love, care, motivation and keeping me on top of my game means everything. To my brothers Tim, Clarence, Glen, Mel, John, Macho, Trevin, LJ, Joshua T, Red, Taylor, Nelly, Armani, Caleb, Parody, Micro, and my cousins Serenity, Dante/Kenya Capers, Kenya S, Dom G, Jaron, Anthony, Jaida, Savannah, Clint, and the ones that believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. Ms. Wislyne, Mr. Turnier, Coach LP, Coach Fletcher, Mr. Mahon, Ms. Cambpell, Ms. B, Mr. Morgan, Mr. Poblete, Ms. Charity, Mr. Keith, and Mr. Rodriguez — y’all have been there consistently, no questions asked. Love and appreciation to all of you and to everyone who wasn’t mentioned that stuck by me through the highs and lows: I see you, and I’m grateful.

Limina isn’t just clothing. It’s a movement. A reminder that you’re standing at the threshold — now step through. Go all in. Trust God. Make it happen.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

With faith and fire,

Jontay
